I want to chat with you about the art of receiving... Because I know that right now, like everybody else on the planet, you are wanting to receive more of something in your life, whether it be love, money, joy, enlightenment, connection, recognition, freedom or whatever!
Maybe you're feeling stuck or lacking in some specific area... and if so, please read on, this information may help you to see your situation from a different perspective...
And WARNING... confrontational ideas are presented here that may challenge you!
The art of receiving is typically defined as moving into a space of allowing where you open up and let the good stuff in. You may need to work through your own blocks to receiving, like low self esteem, or issues around lack, but once you let down the barriers, all the good stuff you've ever dreamed of is going to pour right in... right?
Well, yes.... and No...
It's not as simple as that. Because life is not as straight forward as that. Shit happens. Stuff you didn't expect shows up. Backlashes, arguments, hard times, death, accidents, depression, betrayal and so on...
When you have worked through some blocks and you are feeling internally balanced, open, optimistic, connected and worthy, you are in the prime state to receive, and amazing things usually show up when you can maintain this emotional and mental state. Why? Because you are not resisting Life, you are not fighting Life. The vibe that your are ultimately emitting is "Everything is beautiful. I feel good. I love my life. I am happy." And that gorgeous vibe is going to be magnetically irressistable to gorgeous experiences, people and opportunities, which seem to show up everywhere and it just feels natural and normal that they should.
But what happens when things don't go as planned, when something pops up that you definitely didn't order and most certainly did not want to ever experience? Because, shit happens. It really does. To everyone.
What happens to your gorgeous vibe then?
It often (unless you are a spiritual master) crashes down into victim mode... "Oh why me? I can't believe this is happening to me! It's not my fault. Poor me."
And THIS, dear *|FNAME|*, is where the art of receiving (in the way that I know it) can really help you, if you are open minded enough to let it....
Because the art of receiving is not just about letting in the good stuff like moolah and adoration and success... it's about letting it all in.
Why on Earth would I want to let in depression? Or a car accident? Of the death of my friend? You ask...
Because if you don't, you move into a space of conflict with Life, with What Is, and your lovely vibe significantly decreases. You feel out of sorts, disconnected, disorientated and resentful.
What if Life truly was a benevolent being and we could absolutely TRUST whatever is showing up to be perfect, good, loving and exactly where we need to be? Really trust it.
What if we could constantly live in this state of trust, constantly surrendering and flowing and learning as we allow the difficult experiences to wash through our open arms, receiving their gifts as they go?
What if Life was always giving to us? Always. But we didn't realise because we were so focused on what things SHOULD look like?
What if all the discord we experience was actually of our own making, generated through our own minds and our own resistance to what is showing up?
I believe the true art of receiving is ultimately dwelling in greater and greater levels of trust with Life. In this way you can maintain your high vibration, no matter what happens, and you are more often than not, in your prime receiving state.
The true art of receiving is not necessarily about striving for more, it's about accepting more of What Is, bringing peace and satisfaction into the present moment, rather than needing something to happen before we can feel those feelings.
By allowing the difficult things into our lives, I don't mean that we become a passive doormat that lets everyone and everything walk all over us. I mean that we trust and accept our circumstances as part of the larger order of things. We work through the issues and face the challenges and focus on gratefully receiving the gift that Life is trying to give us.
This switch in attitude releases so much resistance and negativity, and we realise we receive so much from challenging times, they are just as valuable as the goodies.
