I had a mole removed from my neck in December last year and found out just before xmas that it was a melanoma... I had to wait weeks before I could get another appointment at the hospital, but I knew that the doctors would want to remove an even larger area of skin from my neck to make sure there were no other cancer cells in close proximity to the original mole.
I didn't want them to do this... Mainly just for purely cosmetic reasons - I didn't want an even bigger scar on my neck! And also because I just don't believe that I have cancer so what's the point? So I had my second appointment last week and they informed me that my melanoma was about the best melanoma you can have.... very thin, so the likelihood that cancer has spread anywhere else in my body is very slim. However, even with that good prognosis, I hesitantly let them remove more skin from my neck as per the standard procedure. So I now have a big scar... I'd say it's just over 2 inches long on the side of my neck. And what I want to share with you about this is the appreciation I feel for having done so much work on loving and accepting myself over the years, because I think its really paying off now... I just can't help but love this new little member of the community of me. I now have a new scar, a new quirk, a new story to tell, a new little piece of wisdom. And it got me thinking about the world at large... what if we could accept other people, with all their differences, just as lovingly as I accepted my scar into my little community of parts that makes up me? I recently went to an inspirational talk from a guy called Jamie Janover... it was all about the Unified Field Theory of Nassim Haramein. Very interesting stuff... but among all the extremely profound scientific breakthroughs into the understanding of our reality, Jamie talked about his vision for the Earth, and I really resonated with what he said... He likened it to a festival, (you know festivals where everyone gets along so well like a beautiful little community for the short time that it is running, and interesting people express themselves, and there is dancing and joy and all are accepted for their uniqueness...) he said, what if on Earth there was a Christianity tent where everyone could savour the beauty of that, and a Buddhism tent where you could go to get a fix of that, and a Muslim tent where you could experience the feeling of that etc... What if we could see Earth like this and celebrate all the diversity on our planet without seeing it as a threat to our own paradigm? He calls it Festival Earth. I really like that :) Maybe if we all loved ourselves more we wouldn't have the inclination toward judging and rejecting other ways of living and other expressions of being? What do you think?

A couple of months ago I had to wait about an hour for an appointment so I thought I'd make the most of the time by channelling some soul-ful thoughts and ideas about enlightened relationships. I just found these notes again, and wanted to share them with you... Being in a committed relationship is a way of finding relief from the pain of separation we feel from being separated from our Source. Here in this illusion of separation, amongst all this forgetfulness, we see another person as the ticket back to our 'Garden of Eden', as a way to get back home again to a feeling of complete-ness. What if we could feel our absolute completeness now, without needing another to spark that feeling within us. What if our marriage was with our Source, the source of all love, so we didn't feel needy about getting that love from someone else. What if our ultimate relationship was with Source, and all other relationships beautifully complemented that, but were not essential to our feeling as though we have a secure link to love. What if we felt secure in love first, and then found a partner to share that love with. And when that relationship changed, we were still secure in our feeling of love from within, from Source. What if we graciously accepted love into our lives from our Source and then found that that love was mirrored in the physical world by physical expressions of love from others, and we could abundantly thrive in that, without fear of it leaving - knowing there is a limitless flow of love. What if we all knew how sacred, how loved, how honoured we all are in the eyes of Source. What if we could see others like this and allow them the freedom to live their truest expression of themselves, even if that expression was not our preference. We felt secure enough in our own Source of Love that we didn't need them to change. What if two human beings, both totally connected to their own Source of Love, could come together in ecstatic union and create something even more magical and meaningful than they could ever have done apart. Are you in an enlightened relationship? What do you have to share about the subject? Leave me a comment... So, in my work with people lately, it is becoming more and more clear that using will-power to change unwanted habits is counter-productive and that there is a far better way... a ways that feels better, is easier, and lasts...
I do love the statement, 'Imagination is more effective than will-power'. It is so true because what you imagine yourself doing - you will inevitably end up doing. For example, how many times did you imagine yourself going to the cupboard and getting the chocolate before you actually did it? Even though your will-power was trying its best to stop you... you had already imagined it, therefore, you had already set your creative powers into action and your body was just following through on its command. When somebody comes to me wanting to release a bad habit, I ask them "Can you imagine yourself not doing it?" They will more than likely say "No' because if they could imagine themselves not doing it they probably wouldn't be! Anyway, I'm side-tracking from what I really want to say here... which is that when we want to release a bad habit (as well as visualising ourselves free from it) what we can work on - which will work every time... is self-love. I know... boring... I always talk about self-love and everyone always talks about self-love, blah blah... but it's sooooo true! Just hear me out... You see, some people who are stuck in bad habits are just filling in time doing what that are used to doing, because they have forgotten what they really want to be doing. I believe we all came here with a Source Code - a talent / ability / passion / interest that feels amazing to us when we do it, something that is uniquely ours... Unfortunately, a lot of us have squished this natural tendency in our efforts to be loved by other people. Instead we have favoured behaviours and activities that we thought would get approval from others, and deep down we feel unfulfilled... because we are not living our truth. The great thing about loving and celebrating who you are, with all your quirks and eccentricities, is that your passions and abilities naturally rise to the surface where you can say 'YES!' to them. And then life gets really, really juicy.... So juicy that the bad habit you used to do is easily exchanged for a new way of living that deeply feeds every level of your being. I have a great workshop that supports you to find what you love, you can find out more here, but really I just want to hear what you think... write me a comment, leave me a message. Talk soon! Susan...xxx Wanna connect with your guides? Here are the 3 best tips I can offer you...
1. Clear a space and state and intention to begin with... It helps if you can honour this sacred activity by clearing the space you wish to connect in, for example, tidying up a space in your bedroom or lounge, and putting some meaningful objects there, or find a special spot in the garden... If you have put a little effort (even if it's just a couple of minutes) into getting the space ready, you have cleared some physical and mental baggage and will be ready for a clearer connection. Before you start your inner journey, it's important to state an intention for your experience... what do you want to find out / feel / gain clarity on? Decide this first and state your intention to you guides before beginning. A good intention would go something like this: "It is my intention to effortlessly connect to the loving wisdom of my guide/s. I intend to gain clarity on..... and feel..... I intend that I only connect with my high-level guide/s who is working for the highest good of all." Stating an intention at the beginning of this experience is like setting your GPS at the beginning of a car journey, it will ensure that you are guided to where you want to go. 2. Choose a visualisation that raises you vibration... To connect with your guides, you need to harness your imagination... Visualise yourself doing something that makes you feel good and opens your heart. This will raise your vibration and bring you into a closer alignment with your guides energy. For example, you could imagine that you are walking along a beach and with every step you are feeling better and better, or you are walking through a beautiful nature setting and are connecting with the beauty of the nature around you. What place / activity / setting really lifts your heart and soul? Imagine yourself doing that on the way to meeting your guide and see how much clearer you feel. 3. Connect with your guide/s through your feelings and heart... When you have located your guide, or they have located you, the most important thing to remember when communicating with them is to remain heart centred and focused on your feelings - not up in your head. The best way to receive juicy insights, wisdom and clarity from your guides is to imagine that you are connected with them heart to heart, feel your unique relationship with them. Stay focused on these feelings and you will find the information you are after is communicated through them. If you notice you have gone back up to your head and are trying to work things out, are analysing or doubting, simply come back to the feeling of the loving relationship between the 2 of you.... and trust!! Good luck! And remember, my Learn to Channel course starts again soon if you want me to guide you personally through this process. Lots of love!! |
